It's been two years since I earned that coveted doctoral degree, and it has been one of the most empowering and challenging journeys, much like the experiences of marriage and parenting. The journey was empowering because I learned so much, only to realize that there's still so much more to learn. It was also triggering as I encountered the hierarchy of knowledge, peer reviews, rejections, and the complexities of writing a scientifically sound book. This experience demystified my understanding of science. This journey has made me understand that each of our lives can be viewed from various angles, like multiple books written in a million different ways. These books can only reveal parts of us, never the whole. Reading books took on a different meaning after this experience, leaving me with more lingering questions. I had the privilege of reading four other books that view lived experiences through diverse lenses, each uniquely powerful in its own way. During my time with the Autism Club for #ABHISARA_23, there was a generous contribution of 45,000 rupees to Autism Club for the purchase of books that make a difference.
