It's essential for everyone, whether you're a researcher, policy maker, professional, neighbor, friend, family member, or a member of society at large, to recognize that what might seem 'strange' to one person can be the 'norm' for another. In a world that has traditionally been designed for and by those who fit neatly into the 'bell-shaped curve,' anyone falling outside of this curve tends to be labeled as 'strange.'
