I recently moderated a panel discussion for "Heart Talks," an event organized by SUT Pattom Super Speciality Hospital in collaboration with The Times of India. The event, titled "Straight from the heart- ഹൃദയത്തിൽ നിന്നും," featured expert doctors discussing cardiac care and management. This was my first time moderating a panel, and it happened on World Heart Day, 29th September 2021. I was surrounded by Cardiovascular Experts, which was both exciting and nerve-wracking. My involvement in such events often stems from my inability to say no when a good cause is involved, especially when requested by The Times of India. As the event approached, I felt a mix of excitement and anxiety, given the significance of the topic and the esteemed experts I would be moderating. The pressure was on to ensure a smooth discussion and to keep my own emotions in check. After all, I didn't want to have a heart attack during a cardiac care discussion! In the end, it was a rewarding experience. It highlighted the importance of stepping out of one's comfort zone and embracing new challenges. It was a reminder that it's never too late to try something new, especially when it involves promoting the well-being of others. So, on World Heart Day, I found myself moderating a panel of Cardiovascular Experts, hoping for the best and determined to make a positive impact on cardiac health awareness. It was a memorable experience and a great opportunity to contribute to an essential cause.
