#PARTNERSHIP_2021 ❤ #SUBHAARAMBH ❤ I have eagerly awaited this partnership, and I wish to express my gratitude. First and foremost, I am in awe of the remarkable work carried out by his NGO, Plan at Earth. Secondly, I am immensely appreciative of the person behind it all. He is someone who not only listens but also provides genuine encouragement and unwavering support to anyone in need. What sets him apart is that he does all of this without the need for labels like "charity," "nobility," or a "halo." There's no pretense, no façade – he is absolutely authentic! I'd also like to extend my thanks to the year 2020. The lessons it imparted in just one year have broadened my horizons and shown me what's possible beyond the self-imposed bubble I used to confine myself in. As they say, it's never too late to embrace new possibilities. 😉🙏❤ #Gratitude #Do_what_you_love and #Love_what_you_do #Enriching #Empowering #Enabling It was an incredible relief to finally step out, meet and greet (and eat!) in the real world. From the days of muted voices, staring at yourself on the screen, to finally being able to see at least the eyes, if not the smiles (masks!! sigh), and listen to laughter again. Feeling the energy was such a YAY moment! These two days, no matter how much I try to forget, will be etched in my memory. 😛😃❤ While Sooraj Abraham is a veteran, a master trainer with over two decades of experience, I was there to learn the transition and balance of working with school children as a Mental Health consultant and Life Skills trainer. I had felt stuck in a system that prioritized subjects over skills, academics over everything else. THIS experience with the adult group was indeed a welcome change - it was liberating! The most significant lesson in working with adults was the importance of keeping the child alive. Adults can actually focus more, interact more, but inhibitions and awkwardness had caught up as life happened. The students could "think," "feel," and "do" so much more than I ever imagined! From rushing into a class of 30 energetic school children who just wanted to run out and play, having a maximum of 30 minutes to engage and educate, squeezing in some activities, and coming out exhausted, questioning oneself on what difference it made. THIS experience was exhilarating - two full days of interaction, a balance of theory and activities, and a noticeable sense of learning taking place.
