The energy of collective action is something that lingers long after engaging with incredible people at conferences, seminars, and discussions. There’s always a spark, a shared passion, a deep commitment to change, and the hope that these conversations continue in ways that translate into real, tangible impact.
A recent session with the Department of Social Work ( Sree Sankaracharya University of Sanskrit) highlighted the power of collaboration, student leadership, and deep engagement in disability inclusion. From thought-provoking discussions on "Ability Narratives" to the remarkable sensitivity and camaraderie among students, it was evident, change is not only possible but already in motion.
The key now is to move from conversations to action, by forging collaborations that connect research, policy, and practice. By ensuring that research doesn’t remain within academic journals but transforms into advocacy, accessible tools, and policy interventions. By amplifying lived experiences and making them matter.
Bridging these gaps is not just necessary, it’s achievable when voices come together with purpose. Who’s in?
