I was honored to co-lead the two-day training on basic counseling skills hosted by the Banyan Academy of Leadership in Mental Health in September 2024 at the Pulikal Palliative Care Clinic Hall in Kochi. Alongside Dr. Lakshmi Sankaran, we worked with nurses, social workers, healthcare teams, and volunteers involved in The Banyan’s mental health projects. Our goal was to equip participants with essential counseling techniques to better support individuals facing mental health challenges. It was a rewarding experience, and I believe the training will enhance the quality of care across our programs.
