We were heard! Phew! Though it was after 6 months of follow-up, it does feel worthwhile. Despite all the zillion roadblocks, when we are finally heard, it feels all worth it! The meeting was attended by CCPD, Dy, CCPD, Sec CBSE, and my dear Suchitra Narayan who always makes sure I don't have to do anything alone. The points raised and sought clarification: 1. Should students for Grade 10 and 12 go through assessments every year for 4 years from Grade 9 onwards? If not, please clarify the same to parents and schools. Please clarify in circular. 2. Why is VSMS being used to assess SLD? Is CBSE mandating specific tests to measure IQ and assess SLD? If yes please clarify in circular. 3. When CBSE rejects a report from any student, please provide a detailed explanation of the same other than asking the school to refer to the 2018 Gazette without mentioning any section. 4. If there is a rejection, please stick to a basic minimum number of working days before asking for a reassessment. Please clarify in the circular and please instruct RO TVM to stick to those timelines. 5. Does CBSE Mandate that only GH reports are valid and they do not accept reports from registered and licensed private professionals? If yes, please explain. The CCPD clarified that they do not mandate that it must be GH only. The RPD 2016 and later Gazette of 2018 is specific to UDID and hence GH. However, the CBSE exam accommodation certification can be used only for exam purposes and nowhere else and it is not even featured in any document other than the Hall ticket. The CCPD mentioned that a new notification is going to be published in a matter of one day or two and changes have been made in assessments. CBSE asked to revert with clarification after 10-15 days as this will now apply only for next year and thanks to the delay this year students faced the brunt! Miles to go...............
