Nazeer Chaliyam, who has consistently shown his commitment to safeguarding the rights of children. Since my association with you through Together We Can's work starting in 2015, it has been a privilege to know you and witness all the landmark orders you have passed, including this groundbreaking one for NIOS.   Thank you once again for being an advocate for child and disability rights.   ------------------ #ORDER Based on the facts stated above, the Commission, using its power under section 15 of the Commission for Protection of Child Rights Act, 2005, issues the following recommendations:  

  1. a) Respondents No. 1 and 2 shall take steps to sensitize all teachers and other stakeholders, including those engaged in teaching activities or examination duties, about child rights to ensure that the basic rights of children are not violated.
 
  1. b) Respondent No. 1 and 2 shall take steps to provide proper instructions to all stakeholders engaged in teaching or examination duties regarding the norms and procedures provided by the NIOS.
 
  1. c) Respondent No. 1 and 2 should ensure that if they issue any instructions to be complied with by the students, the same shall be communicated to students in advance.
  Respondent No. 1 and 2 shall file Action Taken Reports before the Commission as outlined in Rule 45 of the Kerala State Commission for Protection of Child Rights Rules, 2012, within a period of 2 months from the date of receipt of this order.   (Signed)
